Whale and Dolphin sightings are very common and become a daily occurrence in season. If you are an early bird you can find Otters fishing in the rock pools below the home. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy swimming, snorkeling or fishing in the rock pools or hiking on the nearby paths to Sardinia Bay. Paths on the 5000ha municipally owned open space on the landward side of the village are used by local off-road endure motorcycle clubs and can be used for mountain biking. The well known coastal scenic Marine Drive passes through the village behind the home and is used by The Herald Cycle Tour as well as the international Ironman event and is a favourite cycling route for enthusiasts.
